I remember we had to get up really early in the morning when the sun was not at it’s warmest ! as later on it was going to reach 30 degrees.
All the wood had arrived with a big truck and as soon as I had my holidays- we were going to start this project .
But first we had to tear down the old one- which was build wrong from the people who had the house before us – it did the job, but it wasn’t to be trusted if we had many people dancing out there – because we Scots like to party and have a wee dance.
As I said, we had to start early in the morning – work to around 12 o’clock- have some dinner, a wee rest and go out again around 5 pm and work until the sun went done
The project took around 3/4 weeks to finish and the final result was fantastic & now it was strong enough to hold around 20 people out there – and soon it will be tested as by birthday was just around the corner.
Myself, Åsa and Anneli had so many laughs while we were building the wooden deck & I couldn’t have done this with out them.
We have had a few nice get togethers on the new wooden deck – it’s just a lovely place to be on a lovely summers evening – having a chit chat,, having a laugh and having a sing a long – and eating those huge Flinstone steaks – my Father loved those when he was over on holiday.
