2 years today, I went through the worst time in my life.
I spend 4 weeks in hospital, under covid regulations and just 4 months after my Father died.
I was rushed to hospital with breathing problems and a racing heartbeat.
They kept me over night for observations, but during the night I suffered a heart attack, and a stent was put in place to stop the blockage to my heart.
I was over the moon that I survived the heart attack, but then I received more bad news the next morning. My arteries were so bad, that I had to have a triple bypass.
The news of this brought tears to my eyes and I was devastated ,as I wasn’t allowed to go home until this operation was carried out – the operation was scheduled for 2 weeks’ time.
The person I desperately wanted to speak to, was my Father, but he was no longer here, as he too had gone through a bypass surgery, but I was so sure he was in the operating room looking after me when I was wheeled in there.
The operation was a success and after a long and tough recovery – I returned to work again, I started walking more every day and I am now swimming once a week and the biggest achievement for me is, I haven’t had a cigarette for 2 years.
On this day, I thank all the doctors and staff once again up at Lunds hospital and my loving family and friends for giving me so much support and love.
I appreciate everyday I wake up and I will Cherish my yesterdays, dream my tomorrows, and live for today.
